Interview with Via Violet.

Full Name:
Via Violet

Do you have a nickname or what do your friends call you?
Vio

Birthplace:
the universe
*sighs*
This is going to be one of those “difficult” interviews, isn’t it?  So be it.  Moving on…
yes I guess so

Current hometown:
Nürnberg / Germany

Favorite city and why?
Atlantis, “there was an island in the middle of the ocean and in one day and night this mystical island  suddenly disappeared, becoming sea….”

Birthday / Age:
13.07.1979 I was born on 13. Friday so scaryyy, 34 years old.
So unlike most people, you probably think that Friday the 13th is a pretty lucky day.
mmm yessssss  I can t wait for the next to come *grins maybe I am going then  to win the lottery…  Who knows?

How would you describe yourself physically?
When I am not a ghost I have a human shape- two eyes, two arms, two legs, one heart.
When are you a ghost?
Well when I am not a human.  And to be a ghost happens very often because I love to go through walls and spook around.
That’s probably the spookiest fucking thing anyone has said in any interview yet.  If you don’t write a story about it, I will.

How would someone else describe you physically?
umm average height, pale skin, long hair, kissable lips, with some broken bones, need manicure, few wrinkles…
People can tell that you have broken bones just by looking at you?
Well not by looking, by hearing.  I have a displacement of some of my vertebrae due to  fractures and when they move it makes horrible  sound, most of the people get so scared of it hahaha

The first thing people notice about you is…
the smile on my face.

Religion, if any?
I believe in myself.

Are you superstitious at all?
Yes I am.  I was born on 13 Friday.  I have to be superstitious.  I wear a blue bead on a necklace around my neck to protect me from evil eyes.
How can you tell if someone is giving you the evil eye?  Do you have, like, a spider-sense for that kind of thing?  Or is that just a fancy gypsy name for what we call “stink-eye” in America?

I can’t tell, that’s why I am wearing my blue bead to protect me from it. No it has nothing to do with the “stink eye”.  The evil eye is an evil look that causes injury or misfortune for reasons of envy or dislike.  So I suggest you to wear also a blue bead as you never know who has his evil eye on you.

Any phobias?
The fear of getting my heart broken.

Do you smoke / drink?
Yes, I smoke and drink.

If so, what?
From cigarettes to dicks and from water to blood I smoke and drink everything u could think of.

Any bad habits?
Nail biting and teeth grinding.

Current occupation / Dream job:
Currently I am freelance artist, magic fairy - I fulfill wishes and 2 year student of social work. / I am dreaming to have one day my own café in England.  It would be a mix of art gallery, flower shop and café, with a big english garden outside, where people can enjoy good art, drink tea and buy flowers.
The weather in England is notoriously bad.  Something to do with it being an island nation.  You might want to plan for France instead.

I am used to live on an island. Was living a long time on a spanish island. Well the weather was on the contrary good but I love the unpredictable english weather and the unpredictable english people

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I dream, paint, play pool, fulfill wishes, write poems, play piano, watch football (English premier league) collect animal bones…

What is your zombie outbreak survival plan?
I don’t have any I am the zombie.
Well-played.

Weapon of choice:
Cupid´s arrow.

Do you have any special skills?
I can fulfill wishes.

Did you go to college and, if so, what for?
Oh Yes.  That’s long story.  I have studied chemistry, medicine and psychology in Germany and art and design in Spain.  And now I am studying again in Germany, but on the way to move my study to England.  Damn I know I am the perpetual student hahahah

If you went to college, did you manage to pay off your student loans?
It was not always easy.  I had to take weird jobs to pay my student loans.
Please elaborate on what kind of weird jobs you had to take to pay your student loans.                                                                                                                                       Oh I better not say, I never know when this all could be used against me if I decide one day to run for politician ;)

Any pets?  If so, what are they and what are their names?
Yes.  Two cats, Chu-Chu and Zotte.

What is your favorite animal?
My boyfriend in bed ;)

Speaking of pets, any pet peeves?
Ignorant and hypocritical people.

Favorite / Least favorite Food:
I eat everything that comes my way, I don’t like spicy food.

What is your favorite quotation / motto / saying?
“Es de heroes sonreir, quando el corazon llora.” is spanish and means  “because the heroes smile while their heart is crying”

What is the best thing that ever happened to you?
My boyfriend

What is the worst thing that ever happened to you?
My dad died when I was 14 years old.

Ever had your heart broken? Is there a story worth telling behind your answer?
Yes and it was so painful, but the human heart is such fascinating organ, the more you break it the more it becomes stronger.

Ever broken someone’s heart? Is there a story worth telling behind your answer?
I am just on the way to do it. I will tell you the story when I am done with.
Oh… please do.
With pleasure grins*

What is the best thing you’ve ever done?
To stay alive.

What is the worst thing you’ve ever done?
I am a good girl I don’t do bad things ;)

If you could kill one person, who would it be, and why?
Myself, because I can, if I want to.

What do you do?
Well mostly I do art related things like painting, drawing, sculpting toys, making fashion designs, jewelry, writing poems etc.  The other time I spend in having dreams at day and nightmares at night, but I also like to do nothing at all.

How did you get started doing what you do?
Since I can remember I am painting, drawing and writing and I was always addicted to colors. I guess I was born with a brush and pen in my hands ;)

What is your advice to other people that want to get started doing what you do?
If u do something doesn’t matter what, do it with passion or not at all.
Don’t try.

What are some of the projects you’ve worked on/finished in the past?
Give us a little history if you will.

I have published a book with poems, had a project in the creative field, involving children on an adventure playground, made some designs for a football club in Germany…

What projects are you working on now?
I am working now on a short novel called “Of Flowers and Monsters”.

What are you watching?
Football, porn, horror movies and english soap opera.

What are you listening to?
Pretty everything, from classic to death metal.

What are you reading?
People's Minds.

Favorite author / book?
Frances Hodgson Burnett /“The secret garden”.

Favorite band / song?
Guns and Roses / November Rain

Least favorite band / song?
Die Randfichten - Lebt denn der alte Holzmichl noch

If you could do anything other than what you do now, what would you do?
I would love to be a hitman, well or better to say a hitwoman ;)
I could see it.  Like a La Femme Nikita kind of thing.
Yes something like this but I ll kill all my victims with love ...You forgot my weapon is the Cupid s arrow ;)

Who would you want to meet that you haven’t met?
You get three choices: Alive. Dead. Fictional

Some aliens from an unknown planet , Charles Bukowski, the Devil

What’s the best and worst job you’ve ever had?
The best one was in a mortuary during my medicine study, the worst one hmmm I always love what I do.

Are there any questions that I didn’t ask that you wished I had asked that you would like to answer now?
Yes.  Of what smells my shampoo?  My shampoo smells of mountains and wind, I bought the same shampoo, which my bf use, so I can smell like him ;)

Anyone you recommend I interview that you can put me in touch with?
Venus  Raven- Theatre Director, Stage Manager,  and Lighting Designer.
Cool.  You handle the introduction and I’ll handle the follow-through.
Deal

Got any questions for me?
What do u wish for?
I saw this one coming and my answer is going to suck and end your interview on a real down note.  If I had one wish, I’d wish I was back with my ex-girlfriend.  I was making decent money and she made me insane sometimes, but she was a constant source of interest for me and that’s the last time I can remember being happy and it was a long time before then that I was really happy too so it kind of sticks out for me.  It didn’t work out and maybe it’s for the best, but, yeah, if I had one wish that would be it.
If I had two wishes, I’d wish that I could launch my writing career so I can stay home and never leave the house.  Just have pizza and coffee and cigarettes delivered and write twelve hours a day and publish a novel a week until I die.
I am going to grant you one of them, but remember: Not even wishes are for free.  Every wish has its own price and you have to pay for, when the wish comes true.  You get something and you give something in return.  It could be your happiness, your life, your soul…Are you willing to pay the price?  Think very careful about… When you are sure let me know and I will fulfill  your wish .
Listen, ghost-girl, I write 20,000 words a day on interviews alone.  Then I write an extra five to ten thousand working on my own stuff.  I write more than anyone I’ve ever heard of.  I don’t expect everyone to write as much as I do.  I measure myself against a higher, stricter set of standards than I hold anyone else to.  I’m not competing against anyone else, I’m competing against everyone else, myself included.  I’m publishing three books this month.  Probably four if you consider the next interview collection.  My goal is to twelve for twelve this year.  Twelve novel-length books in twelve months.  If that doesn’t launch my writing career I’m gouging my own eyes out and cutting off my hands at the wrists and wandering the world like Tiresias.  But if you can do something about the whole “having pizza and coffee and cigarettes delivered” thing it would be greatly appreciated.
Well I was thinking about your other wish, but as u wish, you will have your pizza and coffee and cigarettes delivered, but don’t forget about the price you have to pay for it…
I haven’t forgotten.   I’ll even tip the delivery person.

Thanks for letting me subject you to being interviewed!
